Course objective
The burden of occupational injuries and diseases is significant, for both employers and the wider economy. To combat this problem ISO has developed a new standard, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management system. This management system will help organisations reduce the burden of providing a framework to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better and safety working conditions worldwide.
Course outcome
This conversion workshop provides delegates with the knowledge to understand the principles of the Safety Management Systems aligned to the ISO 45001:2018 requirements. Clear guidelines of the changes between the OHSAS 18001:2007 and the ISO 45001:2018 requirements. The information to implement and operate effectively within a safety management system based on the ISO 45001:2018 standard. The above is achieved by presentations by qualified and experienced facilitators and group discussions/workshops.
Who should attend?
Safety managers, safety management representatives, safety
officers/administrators who wish to become ISO 45001:2018 certified auditors. This programme is the entry level for becoming an auditor through the South African Auditor & Training Certification Authority (SAATCA). It is essential that learners also attend ISO 45001 Internal Auditor and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor courses, in order to be certified.
