UNIT STANDARD: 242972 [SAQA]
DESCRIPTION: This Advanced Defined Purpose Lift Truck course is designed for both novice and experienced operators. Learners who meet the specific outcomes and assessment criteria will be permitted to operate Advanced Defined Purpose Lift Trucks as stipulated by the codes below:
Code F05: Reach Lift Truck
Code F08 & F09: Order Picker, including high-rise levels
Code F13 & F14: VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) Lift Trucks
Code F15 to F17: Stacker Cranes
DURATION: Full Training (Novice): 5 Days
Recertification (Refresher): 1 Day
Upgrade to a higher Rated Capacity: 1 Day

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The company and learners must meet the conditions of the training requirements before theory training can be given, as well as the following, applicable to Lift Truck practical assessment:

Ensure pallets are available for the building of a test
chicane, along with barrier/danger tape to cordon off
the practical assessment area.
Ensure sufficient space to accommodate the practical
assessment area.
