DESCRIPTION: The OHS Act in-depth course is designed for employees, supervisors and health and safety representatives who require detailed knowledge and the skill to implement the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act in the workplace. On completion of this learning programme, learners will have acquired a leadership foundation of knowledge and skill to research, understand and implement the requirements of the Act and its regulations.
DURATION: Full Training (Novice): 2 Days
COURSE CONTENT: Assure legal compliance in terms of the Act
Understand the implementation requirements of the     regulations and other relevant legislation and     standards
Recognise potential hazards and risks while using     available methods for elimination
Understand the importance of documentation
Demonstrate the due diligence required to safeguard     people in the workplace Understand the requirements     for effective incident/accident and near-miss     investigation and recording
Recognise the costs involved in managing incidents
Assure the reduction and removal of hazards and risks     in systems and processes
Provide practical, hands-on methods and procedures to     increase employee performance
Understand relevant changes and developments within     the Act
