UNIT STANDARD: 116235 [SAQA]
DESCRIPTION: The Overhead Crane (Pendant Controlled) course is designed for both novice and experienced operators. Learners who meet the specific outcomes and assessment criteria will be permitted to operate a code C30 Overhead Crane, up to a rated capacity stipulated on the certificate issued.
DURATION: Full Training (Novice): 5 Days
Recertification (Refresher): 1 Day

Approved by the Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (HWSETA), the course is designed to provide the learner with awareness, knowledge and the necessary skills to arrest falls from height with the proper use of fall protection products, this course includes visual presentations to ensure safety on the job site.
